Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Rainey (ranked 694 p4p, 1439 weight class) and Nova Lankinen (ranked 100 p4p, 201 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bradley Rainey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nova Lankinen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rainey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Lankinen pushes Rainey off and gets back to his feet.
Rainey connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Nova Lankinen has been cut.
Lankinen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lankinen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rainey pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rainey is looking to clinch.
Lankinen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rainey.
Rainey has been working on his boxing with his coaches at GAMMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Lankinen bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lankinen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rainey - the referee stops the clock and Lankinen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rainey. Lankinen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Rainey lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lankinen misses with a straight left.

Rainey drives through and clinches with Lankinen against the cage.
Lankinen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lankinen struggles to land a body shot inside as Rainey controls his hands.
Lankinen misses with an elbow strike.
Rainey lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A right hook to the body lands for Rainey.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Lankinen takes an elbow to the temple.
Rainey throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lankinens head.

Rainey wants the takedown. Lankinen is fighting it off but Rainey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lankinen's guard against the cage.

Lankinen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rainey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lankinen has managed to get both his arms back between Rainey's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rainey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
