Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between HW Jones (ranked 5080 p4p, 4771 weight class) and Blaze Weeks (ranked 479 p4p, 466 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blaze Weeks!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weeks tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Weeks moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Weeks shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Weeks isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Weeks on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones!

Jones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Weeks has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones but great work by Weeks.

Weeks has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jones has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Jones keeping moving, preventing Weeks from controlling successfully.

Jones is looking to cinch up a triangle. Weeks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jones's body to avoid the submission. Jones has instead reached around Weeks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jones arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
