Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Ward (ranked 3157 p4p, 2539 weight class) and Brian McFoy (ranked 336 p4p, 285 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian McFoy!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFoy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brian McFoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McFoy is looking to clinch.

McFoy clinches with his opponent.
McFoy is working Ward over against the cage.
Ward has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McFoy after a bit of a struggle.
McFoy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like William Ward has been cut.
McFoy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ward changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McFoy fights it off and pushes away nicely.

McFoy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ward looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ward has McFoy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ward pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McFoy tumbling to the mat - Ward dives into McFoy's guard.
Ward won't allow McFoy to get back to his feet.

McFoy is looking to stand up but Ward isn't so interested in that idea.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McFoy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ward stops McFoy from standing up.
McFoy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ward dives into side control.

Ward working the head and body with strikes.
Ward prevents McFoy from escaping the position.
Ward works to advance to full mount. McFoy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Ward is in the full mount, landing strikes.
McFoy is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ward has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ward scoring with strikes but McFoy is staying in there.
Ward trying to control but he's not successful this time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You get the feeling that McFoy really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Brian McFoy dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

McFoy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ward.
Ward attempts a counter takedown but McFoy avoids it well and moves away.

and Ward decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McFoy's guard.

Brian McFoy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
