Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Mendes (ranked 1268 p4p, 3630 weight class) and Freddie McGee (ranked 178 p4p, 426 weight class). Mendes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Future - Last Breath. McGee has chosen bat outta hell song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mendes smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Sloppy strikes from Mendes. Those never looked like landing.
McGee shoots in looking for a takedown but Mendes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mendes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Mendes drives through with a takedown into McGee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McGee striking off his back but it's not causing Mendes any problems.

Mendes drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Mendes seems to have locked his on tight now - McGee screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Mendes, as he picks up the win!

After the fight, Paulo Mendes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
