Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mara Tantor (ranked 1369 p4p, 1094 weight class) and Adam Orel (ranked 194 p4p, 160 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mara Tantor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Orel!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Orel.
Tantor takes one on the button.
Orel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tantor looks to score with a jab to the body but Orel is just out of range.
It seemed like Orel was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tantor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Tantor counters with a nice low kick that buckles Orel's knee momentarily.
A slow jab from Orel misses its intended target.

Tantor quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Orel digs a good body shot into Tantor's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Orel looks to land a left hand but Tantor moved out of range nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Orel is looking to stand back up but Tantor counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Orel.
Orel is still in real trouble! Can Tantor finish him?
Tantor stops Orel from getting back to his feet.
Tantor works his foot free and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Orel really wants to buck Tantor off and get back to his feet.
Orel seems to have recovered his senses.
Tantor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Orel is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Orel is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Tantor lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Orel out cold! Orel is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Mara Tantor was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
