Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Metbal Skabetti (ranked 1282 p4p, 2700 weight class) and Raymond Lee (ranked 182 p4p, 342 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Metbal Skabetti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Raymond Lee! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skabetti stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Skabetti throws a quick counter kick to the body but Lee avoids it. Lee misses with a left hand and Skabetti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. An inside leg kick lands from Skabetti. Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skabetti counters with a right hand to the body. Skabetti throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lee changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Lee jabs at Skabetti's body. Skabetti drops his hands momentarily and Lee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lee slips a jab from Skabetti. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot to the liver by Skabetti. Beautiful body shot. Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Metbal Skabetti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Lee. Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Skabetti swivels and escapes. A quick step to the side and Skabetti tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Skabetti lands with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee looking to score a takedown here. Skabetti is defending well but Lee drives through and ends up in Skabetti's guard. Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Skabetti gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather. Lee pulls Skabetti in close to prevent any damage. Lee wants to sweep here but Skabetti controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Skabetti controls the pace. Lee wants to sweep but no luck. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lee holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick from Skabetti lands but Lee takes it in his stride. Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Skabetti was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've been told by Skabetti's head coaches at in shig we trust that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Skabetti doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Skabetti misses the shot to the body. Lee goes for a double leg but Skabetti avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Skabetti continues to drive forward. Skabetti throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot. Lee cracks Skabetti with a good jab. Lee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee has a takedown stuffed. Skabetti avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Skabetti swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Lee throws a predictable looking body shot
and Skabetti counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Metbal Skabetti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Skabetti throws a front kick that sends Lee stumbling back into the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Skabetti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat. Lee throws a poor cross that misses
letting Skabetti counter with a right hand. Skabetti scores with a jab to the head.
Lee is rocked! Skabetti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Metbal Skabetti dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. A chopping leg kick lands by Skabetti. Skabetti throws a leg kick but Lee sees it coming and checks it nicely. Skabetti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lee misses with a double jab.
Lee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Skabetti lands a big head kick that sends Lee tumbling to the mat! Skabetti takes a step backwards and waves Lee back to his feet - he wants the finish! Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Skabetti finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lee looks to land a combination but Skabetti avoids it well. Lee misses with a left hand and Skabetti counters with a nice right hand that sends Lee toppling to the canvas! Lee scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Skabetti finish him?! Lee misses with a right hand and Skabetti counters with a huge left! Lee is in big trouble! He's backing up but Skabetti isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lee from any more damage. A dominating finish by Skabetti!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Metbal Skabetti! Our winner, Metbal Skabetti, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
