Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Fassett (ranked 1226 p4p, 2845 weight class) and Randy The Irritator (ranked 96 p4p, 195 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy The Irritator!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Irritator stuns Fassett with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The Irritator tries to clinch but Fassett moves out of range.

We've been hearing reports that Fassett has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Fassett is really struggling to find his range with his punches. The Irritator's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Fassett is nestled in close to The Irritator, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fassett is pressing down on The Irritator's thigh, looking to free his foot. The Irritator is holding on for now.
Fassett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Irritator with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The Irritator felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Fassett has one arm under The Irritator 's neck. The Irritator is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Fassett manages to get his arm free though and The Irritator is in a world of trouble! Fassett sinks in the hooks and squeezes! The Irritator turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
