Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Thibodeaux (ranked 1732 p4p, 2755 weight class) and Ameen Robertson (ranked 244 p4p, 358 weight class). Robertson has chosen Regulate - Nate Dogg & Warren G as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Thibodeaux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ameen Robertson! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Chris Dean and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson misses with a hook. Nice uppercut lands for Robertson. That snapped Thibodeaux's head back.
Robertson lands with a hook. Thibodeaux tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Thibodeaux on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Robertson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Thibodeaux ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A little feinted left hand from Thibodeaux on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Robertson misses with a lunging right hand
and Thibodeaux counters with a right hand to the body. The fighters circling - Robertson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robertson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Some wild striking there from Robertson.
Thibodeaux appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thibodeaux moves forwards but Robertson connects with a nice, crisp jab. Thibodeaux feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Robertson sprawling to the canvas! Robertson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thibodeaux finish him?!
It looks like Ameen Robertson has been cut. Robertson throws a poor cross that misses
and Thibodeaux counters with a huge left! Robertson is in big trouble! He's backing up but Thibodeaux isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Robertson from any more damage. A dominating finish by Thibodeaux!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darius Thibodeaux! Darius Thibodeaux seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
