The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire tests Tong Panong's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McGuire scores with a shot to the body.
Tong Panong avoids the head kick by McGuire.
McGuire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tong Panong takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lathem McGuire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McGuire pounces like a tiger and cracks Tong Panong with a vicious hook! Tong Panong is down but not out! McGuire follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A relieved looking Lathem McGuire thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Marc Tong Panong was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm slowing down.... I need to rethink seriously about my future'.
