The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Girard moves into the clinch.

Anderson wants the takedown. Girard is fighting it off but Anderson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Girard's guard against the cage.

Anderson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Girard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there.

Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Girard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Girard manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Girard's guard.

Anderson controlling the position easily from mount.

Girard has left one of his arms exposed and Anderson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Girard screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
