Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Diddy (ranked 401 p4p, 912 weight class) and Beto Ribeiro (ranked 56 p4p, 126 weight class). Diddy comes to the cage accompanied by lvl99ROIDMAGE. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Diddy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Beto Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diddy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ribeiro sprawls well. Ribeiro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diddy gets slowly back to his feet.
Diddy tries to clinch up but Ribeiro circles away and keeps his distance.
Diddy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ribeiro misses with a straight right.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diddy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Joe Diddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ribeiro fails to land with a series of punches.
Diddy goes for a double leg but Ribeiro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ribeiro continues to drive forward.
Ribeiro swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Ribeiro lands with a short shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ribeiro is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Diddy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diddy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ribeiro is defending well.
Diddy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ribeiro prevents it.

Diddy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ribeiro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ribeiro leaves Diddy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Ribeiro on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ribeiro lands a jab to the head.
Ribeiro throws the left hand but Diddy avoids the punch easily.
Ribeiro throws an overhand right that lands on Diddy's shoulder, as Diddy tries to avoid the shot.
Diddy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ribeiro throws a jab but it's blocked by Diddy.
Diddy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Nice defenses there by Diddy.

Ribeiro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diddy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Diddy is looking to work some ground and pound but Ribeiro has wrist control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ribeiro holds on and takes a little breather.
Ribeiro has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Soul Supremacy Rio. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Ribeiro looking for a sweep. Not yet Ribeiro, not yet.

Diddy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ribeiro's head.
Diddy trying to move into half guard but instead Ribeiro has managed to sweep!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Diddy is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ribeiro rolls with it to try and escape but Diddy cranks on the arm and Ribeiro is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Joe Diddy!
After winning the bout, Joe Diddy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
