Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ma Bong Sik!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Léopold Béliveau!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Béliveau blocks the body kick.
Bong Sik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Béliveau! But no joy.
Béliveau has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bong Sik misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Béliveau.
Bong Sik thows a leg kick but Béliveau checks it
and Béliveau counters with an outside leg kick.
Bong Sik attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick from Bong Sik misses.
Béliveau connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bong Sik's hands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Some bone on bone action there as Béliveau checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Béliveau let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Ma Bong Sik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big left from Bong Sik misses.
And Béliveau responds with a good body kick, but Bong Sik manages to step out the way in time.
Bong Sik scores with a spinning back kick!
Bong Sik connects with a stiff jab that staggers Béliveau - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ma Bong Sik!
