Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rasmus Karhu!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John looks to throw the jab but Karhu is out of range.
John swings and misses with a hook to the body.
John takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
John tries to bum rush Karhu with a series of wild strikes but Karhu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
John swings widly with a right hand
and Karhu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. John darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
John lands a nice hook to Karhu's body. Karhu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
John misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Karhu.
Karhu is clearly trying to counter these attacks from John with a body shot.
Karhu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
John throws a poor cross that misses
and Karhu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
John throws a jab but it's blocked by Karhu.

As Karhu looks to move away, John throws a big counter combo but Karhu just gets out of the way.
John slips under a jab.

Karhu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from John.
A combination from John does no damage.
Karhu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
John throws a hook but Karhu blocks it.
John throws a right hand that misses
and Karhu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
John misses with a combination
and Karhu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
John scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
John swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Karhu avoids the body shot from John.
John lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Rasmus Karhu has been cut.
John uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Karhu.
Karhu defending well as John loads up on a big left hand.
John looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

John tries to bum rush Karhu with a series of wild strikes but Karhu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karhu's jab looks to have found its range, popping John under the eye.
Karhu gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
John keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
John went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Karhu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from John.
It seemed like Karhu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Nice body punch from John.
Karhu misses with a body shot.
John's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and John duly obliges.
Karhu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Karhu ducks under a wild hook from John.
John lands a jab.

Karhu pivots, looking for a leg kick but John is out of range and Karhu settles back down.
John misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Karhu counter with a right hand.

John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Karhu takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A slow jab from John misses its intended target.
John sizes up Karhu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Karhu is rocked!
John lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Karhu head around and knocks him out cold! John hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
