Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heavy Zak Dos (ranked 1816 p4p, 709 weight class) and Alexey Markov (ranked 102 p4p, 46 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Markov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zak Dos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Markov was well out of range. Poor timing from Zak Dos.
Sloppy strikes from Markov. Those never looked like landing.

and Markov counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Heavy Zak Dos has been cut.
A big right from Markov misses.
Markov throws a lazy right hand but Zak Dos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Markov misses with a straight left.
Markov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zak Dos on the side of the head.

Zak Dos wants to clinch
and Markov counters with a nice uppercut.
A low kick lands for Zak Dos.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zak Dos. Markov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Markov throws out a counter right but Zak Dos avoids it with no problem.

Markov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Zak Dos sprawling to the canvas! Zak Dos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Markov finish him?!

We've been told by Zak Dos's head coaches at Hey Steves Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Zak Dos seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Markov throws a series of punches but Zak Dos avoids them all with ease.
Markov lands with a shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Markov misses the target.
Markov throws a jab when Zak Dos was well out of range.
Markov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Markov sizes up Zak Dos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Zak Dos stuns Markov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Zak Dos takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A nice leg kick from Zak Dos, right into the meat of the thigh.
Zak Dos cracks a nice hook into Markov's ribs.

Markov drops Zak Dos with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zak Dos looks back up at him and smiles so Markov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Zak Dos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zak Dos seems to have got his legs back now.
Zak Dos leaves his chin hanging out and Markov seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Zak Dos crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

A relieved looking Alexey Markov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
