Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haruki Johnson (ranked 290 p4p, 659 weight class) and Vadius Highwind (ranked 49 p4p, 108 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shooting Stars ft. Toro y moi (Flume Cover). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Haruki Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vadius Highwind! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Highwind misses. Johnson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Johnson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Highwind. Johnson scores with a nice body kick.
Highwind scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Highwind uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson. Johnson throws a hook but Highwind avoids it easily. Johnson looks to throw the jab but Highwind is out of range. Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Highwind avoids the body shot from Johnson.
Highwind tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Highwind. An inside leg kick lands from Highwind. Johnson misses with a right hand and Highwind makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Highwind throws a combination that misses and Johnson counters with a two punch combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Highwind under the eye.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Highwind's sensitive parts. Johnson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Haruki Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Highwind misses. A slow jab from Johnson misses its intended target. Highwind throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Johnson counter with a right hand. Highwind comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Johnson with a jab. Johnson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Highwind to the canvas! Highwind doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Johnson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haruki Johnson! During a confident post fight interview, Haruki Johnson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
