Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Marek (ranked 42 p4p, 780 weight class) and Khalid Magomedov (ranked 5 p4p, 108 weight class). Magomedov has chosen SABINA feat. Timaro - Dagestan as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Marek!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Khalid Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marek rushes Magomedov and presses him up against the cage.

Marek lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Magomedov backwards.
I was talking to Marek's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Magomedov jumps guard but Marek stands there with Magomedov around his waist. Magomedov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Marek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Magomedov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marek has managed to get both his arms back between Magomedov's legs - danger averted.

Well, if Marek is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

It looks like Khalid Magomedov has been cut.

Marek was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Marek takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Marek leaves Magomedov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gregor Marek is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marek cracks Magomedov's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Magomedov slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Marek can do further damage! This one is done, son!
