River feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Garaks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
River avoids the body shot from Garak.
River just misses with a punch to the body.
Garak half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

River shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Garak napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
River is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Garak has escaped the position, nice work there.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
River is looking to take a break and control but Garak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garak gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

River is posturing up here but Garak has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! River tries to roll out but it's too tight and River has to tap! Slick submission there by Garak!

Elim Garak was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
