Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Medium Guy (ranked 24245 p4p, 23973 weight class) and Medium Mann (ranked 568 p4p, 553 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice jab there from Mann.
Mann loads up on a big right hand but Guy slips the punch.
Guy seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Medium Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Guy.

Mann is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Mann has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Guy has picked Mann up - he's going for a ride! Guy dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Mann looks like he's trying to stand up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mann tries to kick Guy off in order to stand up. Guy Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Mann is trying to get back to his feet.
Guy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

An elbow from Guy crashes against the mat.
Mann wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mann parries the strikes from Guy easily there. Guy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mann to escape.
Guy prevents Mann from escaping the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mann moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Guy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mann - the referee stops the clock and Guy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mann. Guy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mann scores with a jab to the jaw.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mann throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Medium Mann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Medium Guy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Guy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Guy takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Guy will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Mann throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Mann pushes Guy away with a front kick.
Guy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mann connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guy scrambles back to his feet.
Mann connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guy. Guy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mann throws a body kick that misses.
Mann lands a glancing blow to the side of Guy's head.
Medium Mann is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Mann tries to land a front kick but Guy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Guy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Medium Mann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Mann winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
