Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Panfilo Acerbi (ranked 5449 p4p, 3043 weight class) and Lochlain OBrien (ranked 274 p4p, 208 weight class). Acerbi comes to the cage accompanied by Boom Boom Boom Boom - Venga Boys. OBrien comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Come out and fight! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lochlain OBrien!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OBrien uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Acerbi.
OBrien throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like Acerbi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Acerbi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Acerbi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Acerbi lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Acerbi.
OBrien looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Panfilo Acerbi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Acerbi doesn't manage to clinch there - OBrien circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from OBrien! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Acerbi is really struggling to find his range with his punches. OBrien's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Acerbi engages and cracks OBrien with a massive lead left hook - OBrien tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Acerbi is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
