Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Pike (ranked 4673 p4p, 3272 weight class) and Beltran Salvatierra (ranked 278 p4p, 225 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Beltran Salvatierra!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvatierra lands with an overhand left.
Good standup being displayed there by Pike as he connects with a hook.
Salvatierra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pike.
Pike scores with a jab to the body.
Pike throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Salvatierra stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Salvatierra throws a right and a left that Pike avoids nicely.
Salvatierra swings for the body but Pike moves out of range.
Pike lands a jab to the nose.
Pike connects with a body shot that sends Salvatierra's belly button to the back.
Pike lands a glancing blow to the side of Salvatierra's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Salvatierra swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Salvatierra misses with a jab to the body
and Pike counters with a huge left! Salvatierra is in big trouble! He's backing up but Pike isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Salvatierra from any more damage. A dominating finish by Pike!

Christopher Pike bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
