The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Bass misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Knudsvig.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bass is defended easily by Knudsvig.

Bass tries to clinch up but Knudsvig circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Knudsvig lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bass has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bass and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Sam Bass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bass drives through and clinches with Knudsvig against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Knudsvig obliges.
Knudsvig creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Knudsvig swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Knudsvig lands a nice uppercut.
Knudsvig is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Bass is breathing heavily.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Knudsvig.
Knudsvig lands a good knee to the midsection. Bass won't want to take too many of those.
Knudsvig lands with a short shot to the head.
Bass's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bass drops down looking for an ankle pick but Knudsvig pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bass drops his hands momentarily and Knudsvig takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Knudsvig cracks Bass with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bass looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Knudsvig finish him?

Bass is rocked!

It looks like Sam Bass has been cut.

Knudsvig plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Bass to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Bass just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
