Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amakusa Saneuji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pho Hunna! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saneuji takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Saneuji fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hunna looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Saneuji tries for a takedown but Hunna circles away easily and Hunna counters with a straight right hand. Saneuji misses with a takedown attempt enabling Hunna to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amakusa Saneuji. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hunna fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Saneuji manages to avoid it. Saneuji misses with a takedown attempt - Hunna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hunna getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Saneuji looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Saneuji misses with a takedown attempt - Hunna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A big left from Hunna misses. Saneuji drops down looking for a counter takedown but Hunna sprawls and moves away. Saneuji really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hunna dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Saneuji gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hunna counters with a right hand to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Saneuji drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saneuji avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Saneuji is sitting in close to Hunna's body. Hunna has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Saneuji is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Saneuji is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hunna.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Pho Hunna! A relieved looking Pho Hunna thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
