The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acosta tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Slivers lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Slivers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Acosta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slivers paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Johnny Slivers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slivers clobbers Acosta with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Acosta fails with an attempt to clinch.
Acosta closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slivers circles away.
Slivers's jab looks to have found its range, popping Acosta under the eye.

Slivers pounces like a tiger and cracks Acosta with a vicious hook! Acosta is down but not out! Slivers follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
