The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Chris Dean and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Canizares.
Canizares slips under a jab from Romero .
Canizares blocks a jab.
Canizares throws a lazy right hand but Romero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A swing and a miss from Romero .
Romero works over Canizares's head and body with a nice combination.
Canizares avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Canizares tries to bum rush Romero with a series of wild strikes but Romero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Romero throws an off balance right hand
letting Canizares counter with a right hand.
Romero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Canizares finds it's way round the side to connect with Romero 's head.
Rock Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Canizares bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Romero counters with a right hand to the body.
Canizares tests Romero 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Romero moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Canizares cracks Romero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Romero lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Romero misses with an uppercut.
We've been told by Romero 's head coaches at 23.5 Hour Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Canizares looks for the body kick but Romero saw that one coming.
Canizares catches Romero with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Canizares steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romero .
Romero walks into a stiff left hand from Canizares.
Canizares lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Romero throws an overhand right that lands on Canizares's shoulder, as Canizares tries to avoid the shot.

Canizares scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Romero doesn't seem bothered though.

It looks like Ezequiel Canizares has been cut.
Romero circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Canizares tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Romero wins by KO!
