Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lars Kay (ranked 603 p4p, 1163 weight class) and Greg Connor (ranked 50 p4p, 90 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars Kay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Connor!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Watson and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kay misses with a body shot.
Kay throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Connor misses the shot to the body.
Kay half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kay throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lars Kay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kay shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Connor defends it nicely.
Connor thinks about the counter body kick.
Kay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Connor moves away.
Kay takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Kay does it's job there.
Connor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kay loads up on a big right hand but Connor slips the punch.
Kay throws a combination that misses
and Connor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Greg Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little jabbing left from Connor on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Connor throws a sloppy head kick and Kay moves out of range easily.
Kay needs to keep his hands up - Connor had a free shot at his head there.
Kay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kay misses the shot to the body.
It seemed like Connor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kay stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kay lands a nice shot that snaps Connor's head back.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Connor. Kay shrugs it off though.
A nice inside leg kick there by Connor. That's going to slow Kay down.
Connor stuffs the takedown attempt from Kay. Kay gets slowly back to his feet.
Kay looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Connor is fending him off so far but Kay persists. Nope, Connor circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lars Kay. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Connor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Lars Kay has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Connor buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Connor feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kay sprawling to the canvas! Kay rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Connor finish him?!

Kay is rocked!
Connor moves in close and cracks Kay with a massive right hand! Kay, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Connor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Greg Connor!
