Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tye Kwondo (ranked 2011 p4p, 24384 weight class) and Mawunyo Kato (ranked 213 p4p, 496 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwondo shoots in looking for a takedown but Kato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kwondo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kato moves in looking to clinch but Kwondo pushes him off.
Kwondo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kwondo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Kato tries to clinch but Kwondo is having none of it.

It looks like Mawunyo Kato has been cut.

It looked like Kwondo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kato darts in and clinches Kwondo up against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kato manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kato lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Kato rushes Kwondo and presses him up against the cage.

Maybe Kwondo would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.
Kato should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kwondo tries to stall but Kato uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kwondo seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Kato is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Kwondo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kato could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kwondo has cracked it and Kato is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kwondo!
