Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 5371 p4p, 2343 weight class) and Adrian Sterling (ranked 425 p4p, 266 weight class). Sterling has chosen Snake by Lil Keed as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Sterling!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wallace staying calm.
Sterling throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Sterling throws an elbow that doesn't really do any damage.
Wallace is chipping away with strikes.
Sterling on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Wallace has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sterling tries to buck Wallace off but Wallace is having none of it.
Sterling is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it.
Wallace is working Sterling over with some ground and pound from side control.
Sterling is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wallace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wallace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sterling is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wallace off and has taken his back!

Sterling wants to pass to mount but Wallace is defending the position.

Sterling is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wallace defends it well.
Wallace is looking for a sweep. Sterling is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sterling looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sterling is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Sterling eventually gives up the hold.
Wallace gets full guard.

Sterling wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.

Wallace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sterling can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wallace is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sterling is aware though and is defending well.

Sterling postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wallace is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sterling, into his guard.

Sterling had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wallace defends it easily.

Sterling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wallace doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wallace manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sterling gets caught napping as Wallace dives in and scores a takedown. Sterling manages to retain guard.

Wallace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wallace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sterling might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wallace haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wallace swings around for an armbar but Sterling sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wallace's guard.

Sterling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wallace has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sterling has managed to get both his arms back between Wallace's legs - danger averted.

Sterling makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sterling gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sterling controls the pace.

Wallace has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sterling is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wallace.

Sterling is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wallace knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sterling looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wallace with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Adrian Sterling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Sterling has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Wallace. Oh but Sterling has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Wallace goes limp - he's gone! Sterling jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
