Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marlon Raynard!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a big shot that misses.
Raynard throws a hook but Green avoids it easily.
Raynard throws a body kick that misses.
Green changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Raynard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Green misses with an uppercut.
Green throws a poor cross that misses
and Raynard counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Green swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Raynard.
Nice body kick from Raynard.
Raynard staying out of range there.
A telegraphed right hand from Green misses the target.
Green slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice defenses there by Raynard.
Raynard lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Green throws a big shot that misses.
Green throws a right hand that Raynard ducks under and follows up with a left that Raynard also avoids with ease.
Green rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Raynard counters with a straight right hand.

Raynard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away.
Raynard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Green throws out the jab.

Green needs to keep his hands up - Raynard had a free shot at his head there.
Green shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Raynard defends it nicely.

Green throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Green throws a jab but it's blocked by Raynard.
Raynard slips a jab from Green.
Green has a takedown stuffed.

Raynard thuds a left hand into Green's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Green uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raynard.

Green throws a shot from downtown. Raynard moves away and avoids it.
Green misses with a series of wild punches.

Raynard rushes Green and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Raynard can't find room to land a body shot as Green controls the action.

Raynard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Green misses with a jab, cross combination.
Raynard is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Raynard connects with an inside leg kick.
Green takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Raynard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Green manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Raynard is one step ahead there.
Green keeping moving, preventing Raynard from controlling successfully.

Green is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Green utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Raynard wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Green has an active guard here but Raynard has managed to pass into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Raynard working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Green's thigh. Green counters though and makes it back to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Marlon Raynard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Green falls off balance throwing a combination
and Raynard makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Green really felt that one!

Green changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Raynard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Green tries to move to mount but Raynard blocks the move with his legs.
Raynard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Green is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Raynard knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Green tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raynard manages to work his way to half guard, despite Green's best efforts.

Green looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Green is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Raynard has managed to free his arm - good work.
Raynard is looking to control Green's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Raynard avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Green in particular looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Raynard is holding on to half guard well.
Raynard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though.
Green is looking to advance position but Raynard won't allow it.
Green looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Raynard is looking for a sweep. Green is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Green is looking for a kimura here.

Green seems to be working for a kimura but Raynard defends the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green is thwarting Raynard's attempts to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A punch combination from Green misses.
Green takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A slow jab from Green misses its intended target.
Green throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Raynard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A swing and a miss from Green.
Green throws a hook to the side of Raynard's head but Raynard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Raynard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Green.
Green is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Raynard pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Green throws a looping overhand right but Raynard ducks down to avoid it.
Green throws a series of punches but Raynard moves out of range.
Green misses with a straight right.
Raynard slaps away a takedown attempt from Green, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Raynard jabs Green to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A jab lands there for Raynard.

Raynard drops Green with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Green looks back up at him and smiles so Raynard waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Green is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Raynard looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Raynard backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Green's temple! It sends Green violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Raynard celebrates and the doctors try to help Green!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Marlon Raynard!
