Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jubei Akechi (ranked 1423 p4p, 483 weight class) and Hugo Loris (ranked 143 p4p, 54 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Jubei Akechi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Hugo Loris!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loris moves out of range as Akechi strikes.
Loris closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Akechi is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Jed's Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Loris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Akechi keeps working.
Loris throwing strikes but Akechi manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Akechi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Loris has escaped the position, nice work there.
Loris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Loris tries to buck Akechi off but Akechi is having none of it.
Loris is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Akechi off and has taken his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Akechi is having to fend off submission attempts from Loris, who is looking to sink in the choke. Loris doesn't have the hooks in though and Akechi manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Loris controls Akechi momentarily but Akechi frees himself.
Akechi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Loris has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Akechi has passed into side control.
Loris is trying to get back to half guard.
Loris sneaks back into half guard.
Loris wants to get back to full guard.
Loris is pressing down on Akechi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Loris looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Akechi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loris pushes a forearm under Akechi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Akechi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hugo Loris!
Hugo Loris bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
