Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Medium Guy (ranked 24156 p4p, 23888 weight class) and Medium Mann (ranked 510 p4p, 526 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy connects with an inside leg kick.
Guy scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Guy slips under a jab from Mann.
A combination from Guy does no damage.
It seemed like Mann was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Guy misses with an uppercut
and Mann connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Guy loads up on a big right hand but Mann slips the punch.
A little jabbing left from Mann on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mann misses with a body kick.
Guy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mann wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mann looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fight stays on the outside here - Guy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Guy is trying to drag Mann to the mat but Mann just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Guy wants to take the fight to the mat but Mann manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mann takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Guy throws the left hand but Mann avoids the punch easily.

Guy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mann.
Guy went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Mann connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Guy lands a nice hook to Mann's body. Mann takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crunch! Mann slams his shin into Guy's torso.

and Guy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mann! But no joy.

Guy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Guy tried to score with a low kick but Mann checks it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Guy. That's going to slow Mann down.

and Mann counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Mann uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Guy has time to react.
Oh Guy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Medium Mann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Mann counters with a crisp right that sends Guy to the canvas! Mann follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
