Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Tepes Iii (ranked 1132 p4p, 5849 weight class) and Saad Sadiq (ranked 165 p4p, 609 weight class). Sadiq has chosen Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone - Slaughter And The Dogs as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vlad Tepes Iii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Saad Sadiq ! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Sadiq . Sadiq dives in and grabs Tepes Iii's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tepes Iii pushes down on Sadiq 's head and hops out. Tepes Iii drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sadiq sprawls and moves away. Tepes Iii stuffs the takedown attempt from Sadiq . Sadiq gets slowly back to his feet. Tepes Iii uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sadiq . Sadiq throws a poor cross that misses
and Tepes Iii counters with a shoot takedown. Sadiq fights it but they end up in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tepes Iii has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sadiq is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tepes Iii trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Tepes Iii might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sadiq has Tepes Iii pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tepes Iii has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sadiq is proving hard to escape from.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Sadiq looks to land a right hand but Tepes Iii moved out of range. Tepes Iii appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Nice defenses there by Tepes Iii. Sadiq thows a left - swing and a miss! Tepes Iii half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sadiq fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Vlad Tepes Iii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's three minutes gone in the round. Tepes Iii slips under a jab from Sadiq . Tepes Iii tries to counter with a takedown but Sadiq is quick to defend against it. Sadiq closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tepes Iii's guard. Tepes Iii is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sadiq trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tepes Iii utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sadiq throws an elbow that misses. Tepes Iii uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sadiq 's guard. Nice move by Tepes Iii!

Let's hope that Sadiq has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that is the end of the round. That was a close round but I would say that Vlad Tepes Iii will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Tepes Iii defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sadiq . Sadiq connects with a nice looking jab.
Sadiq shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tepes Iii is trying to defend but Sadiq finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sadiq stops Tepes Iii from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sadiq shoots in for a double leg but Tepes Iii sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tepes Iii drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sadiq sprawls and moves away. Sadiq throws an off balance right hand
and Tepes Iii counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sadiq ! Tepes Iii wants to stand but Sadiq has his arm trapped.

This is the final round! Tepes Iii drops his hands momentarily and Sadiq takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Tepes Iii tries to move into range but Sadiq moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sadiq fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tepes Iii feinted with a counter takedown. Sadiq tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tepes Iii swivels and escapes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sadiq throws a looping overhand right but Tepes Iii ducks down to avoid it. Tepes Iii half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sadiq manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tepes Iii on his heels. He'll look to pass Tepes Iii's guard now, I'm sure.

Sadiq trying to control the position from guard on top but Tepes Iii is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sadiq throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tepes Iii wants to get back to his feet but Sadiq is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sadiq stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tepes Iii swivels though and keeps the full guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Vlad Tepes Iii overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sadiq trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sadiq doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tepes Iii counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sadiq won't be happy with that. Saad Sadiq has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vlad Tepes Iii has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saad Sadiq . Sadiq is trying to control Tepes Iii's posture but Tepes Iii avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Saad Sadiq . I think Tepes Iii has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
