Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Tyson (ranked 2111 p4p, 2676 weight class) and Hermio Junior (ranked 278 p4p, 333 weight class). Mick Tyson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hermio Junior! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Tyson throws a nice looking combination but Junior bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Junior takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Tyson thows a left - swing and a miss! Junior with the counter takedown but Tyson avoids it easily. Tyson lands a lovely overhand right. Tyson misses the shot to the body. Junior is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Junior takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tyson scores with a jab to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Junior 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tyson lunges at Junior with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Junior's hand. Mick Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyson throws a lazy right hand but Junior sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Junior changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tyson looks to throw the jab but Junior is out of range. Junior is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Junior displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tyson throws out the jab. Mick Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Junior goes for a takedown attempt but Tyson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Junior walks into a stiff left hand from Tyson. Tyson lands a big uppercut and Junior crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Junior looks OK. Tyson waves Junior back to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyson swings and misses with a shot to the body and Junior counters with a single leg into guard. Tyson didn't expect that. Tyson is adopting a defensive guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junior tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyson is retaining full guard. Tyson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tyson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tyson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tyson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Junior throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Our spies down at at Gumburcules Gym inform us that Junior has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Tyson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Junior has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tyson has managed to get both his arms back between Junior's legs - danger averted. Tyson stands up from Junior's guard - Tyson perhaps looking for a knockout. Tyson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
