Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luka Alstrup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Blake West!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from West.
Blake West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West has his takedown stuffed
and Alstrup counters with a nice right hand that sends West toppling to the canvas! West scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Alstrup finish him?!
It looks like Blake West has been cut.
West slips a straight right by Alstrup.
West misses with a low kick.
West ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
West throws a lazy head kick
and Alstrup counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alstrup throws the left hand but West avoids the punch easily.
West ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
West misses with a two punch combination.
West has taken the fight to the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Alstrup creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
West wants to get back to striking at distance but Alstrup won't allow it.
Alstrup gets through West's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Good body shot from Alstrup.
West looks winded!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Alstrup takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alstrup's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
West uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alstrup.
West tries a head kick but it misses.
Alstrup throws a hook but West blocks it.
Nice defenses there by West.
Alstrup misses with a looping right.
West fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alstrup is out of range.
West shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alstrup counters with a left to the body.
Luka Alstrup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake West.
Alstrup throws a looping overhand right but West ducks down to avoid it.
West displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alstrup throws out the jab.
West fails with the takedown
and Alstrup counters with a crisp right hand that drops West! Alstrup lets West back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alstrup cracks West with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Alstrup has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning West to stand back up!
West is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alstrup throws a lazy right hand but West sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Alstrup finish him?
Alstrup pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
West drops his hands momentarily. Alstrup doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. West staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. West doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luka Alstrup!
