Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Holden Mccall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abner Dukes! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes throws a head kick but Mccall moves out of range.
Mccall catches Dukes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Mccall dips to his left and cracks Dukes with an uppercut! Dukes lands a jab to the nose. We've been informed that Dukes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mccall takes a kick to the side of the head. Mccall lands a leg kick that knocks Dukes off balance momentarily. Mccall connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mccall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mccall looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dukes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dukes throws a right hand that Mccall ducks under and follows up with a left that Mccall also avoids with ease. Mccall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mccall throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dukess head. Mccall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mccall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dukes, pushing him back against the cage. Mccall manages to break the clinch.
Mccall connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Mccall has closed the distance and engaged Dukes in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccall lands an elbow inside that Dukes shrugs off. Dukes misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mccall blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mccall blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mccall. Mccall lands on the inside with an uppercut. Mccall lands an elbow just above Dukes 's eye. Mccall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dukes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dukes is rocked! Holden Mccall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mccall takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dukes is still on wobbly legs! Can Mccall finish him? Dukes tries to get into range but Mccall steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Dukes! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Mccall scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Holden Mccall! Our winner, Holden Mccall, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
