Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ubaldo Cortez (ranked 2312 p4p, 2112 weight class) and Ludvig Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 264 weight class). Eriksson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. THICC THICCLY kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ubaldo Cortez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ludvig Eriksson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Eriksson shoots in looking for a takedown but Cortez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eriksson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Eriksson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cortez swivels and escapes.
It looked like Cortez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Eriksson.
Ubaldo Cortez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludvig Eriksson.
Eriksson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Cortez to counter with a crisp jab.
Eriksson tries for a takedown but Cortez circles away easily
and Cortez counters with a stiff right hand.
Eriksson tries for a takedown but Cortez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cortez is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Ludvig Eriksson has been cut.
Eriksson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cortez's waist but Cortez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eriksson off to one side.
Cortez swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ludvig Eriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eriksson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cortez's waist but Cortez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eriksson off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round.

and Cortez counters with a nice right hand that sends Eriksson toppling to the canvas! Eriksson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Cortez finish him?!

After winning the bout, Ubaldo Cortez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
