Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy McCoy (ranked 1174 p4p, 2258 weight class) and Martin Burns (ranked 152 p4p, 253 weight class). McCoy comes into the arena with You Don't Mess Around With Jim blaring out of the sound system. Burns has chosen will ospreay theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns drops his hands momentarily and McCoy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Burns looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCoy is fending him off so far but Burns persists. Nope, McCoy circles away and we're back to standing.
McCoy was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Burns fails with a takedown attempt.

Burns is refusing to be controlled, as McCoy sits in half guard.

Burns has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, McCoy escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by McCoy!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
McCoy lands a nice forearm strike.
McCoy is looking to take a break and control but Burns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McCoy is really struggling to control Burns but he's trying to hold on to the position.
McCoy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Burns takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burns takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Burns seems to have recovered his senses.

Burns is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McCoy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Burns is trying to get back to full guard.

McCoy passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Burns!
McCoy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McCoy cracks Burns with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
