Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abelardo De Leon (ranked 265 p4p, 421 weight class) and Gigi Woerner (ranked 31 p4p, 50 weight class). De Leon comes into the arena with Mercenary - F.O.O.L. & Power Glove blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woerner tries to clinch there but De Leon circles away.
De Leon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Woerner has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
De Leon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Woerner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Woerner needs to keep his hands up - De Leon had a free shot at his head there.

De Leon throws a lazy right hand but Woerner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Woerner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gigi Woerner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Leon steps in with a hook that catches Woerner right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! De Leon follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Woerner looks absolutely devastated.
