The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McEchrean tries to clinch there but Po circles away.
McEchrean looks to land a combination but Po avoids it well.
McEchrean fails to land the takedown.
Po lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends McEchrean sprawling to the canvas. Po follows him down, looking for the kill. Can McEchrean hang on?

McEchrean is rocked!

It looks like James McEchrean has been cut.

Po decides to stand up.
McEchrean is still on wobbly legs! Can Po finish him?
McEchrean wants to clinch up but Po keeps it at a distance.
McEchrean seems to have recovered his senses.
Po misses with a series of wild punches.

Po has closed the distance and engaged McEchrean in a clinch.
McEchrean pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
McEchrean tries to pull guard but Po won't allow it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Po lands a big uppercut and McEchrean is down! He's in big trouble - Po follows him to the mat!
McEchrean looks like he's trying to stand up.
Po prevents McEchrean from improving his position.

Still in half guard, Po seems content to control.
McEchrean tries to roll over but Po keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Po is controlling the pace.
McEchrean works his way to full guard. Good work.

Po gets to his feet. McEchrean looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Po gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Po throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
McEchrean is trying to break free.

Po lands a body shot in the clinch.
McEchrean looks gassed!
Po gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McEchrean .
James Po has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James McEchrean .
McEchrean takes a shot to the head.
Po lands with a light punch inside.

That has opened up James McEchrean 's cut even more.
Po cracks McEchrean with a nice body shot.
Po lands a left hand.
Po lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops McEchrean to his knees! Po keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
