Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Beckwith (ranked 1327 p4p, 1088 weight class) and Graham Mantle (ranked 144 p4p, 116 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudy Beckwith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Graham Mantle!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mantle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beckwith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Beckwith moves out of range of the strikes.
Mantle looks to land a left hand but Beckwith moved out of range nicely.
Rudy Beckwith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Mantle.
The fighters circling - Mantle throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Beckwith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mantle.
Beckwith swings for the body but Mantle moves out of range.
Beckwith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mantle doesn't seem bothered though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mantle slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

I really don't envy Beckwith right now.

Mantle cracks Beckwith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

A little jabbing left from Mantle on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Donk. Mantle catches Beckwith right on the button with a cross.
Mantle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Beckwith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mantle now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mantle cracks a nice hook into Beckwith's ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Beckwith rushes Mantle and presses him up against the cage.

Beckwith is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mantle can't fight it off and eventually Beckwith manages to take the fight to the floor. Mantle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mantle working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Beckwith is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mantle manages to capitalize on a mistake by Beckwith to take his back!

Mantle controlling the position well here. Beckwith rolled but Mantle kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Mantle is not going to allow Beckwith to sit and survive in this position.

You can see the frustration on Beckwith's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Mantle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
