Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Hall (ranked 101 p4p, 840 weight class) and Kodiyak Redd (ranked 6 p4p, 42 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Andy Shauf: The Magician. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Robbie Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hall.
As Redd tries to get set, Hall tries to push him back and clinch up but Redd manages to avoid the attempt. Hall uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Redd. Hall changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. We've been hearing reports that Hall has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Redd scores with a sloppy right hand. Hall should have avoided that one. Redd shoots in and drives through. Hall sprawls well. Hall is looking to counter the offense by Redd and move into the clinch. Redd lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hall at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good work by Hall as he checks the leg kick. Hall takes one to the side of the head.
Redd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hall was well out of range. Poor timing from Redd.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hall! Hall tries to bench press Redd off him but Redd keeps the position. Redd tries to advance to mount but Hall denies him. A lull in the action here as Redd stalls from top position. Hall is looking for a sweep. Hall is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hall! Hall can't escape the position.
Redd pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Redd controlling the position easily from mount. Redd postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hall looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Redd wants to finish this one by submission but Hall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Redd. Redd unloading with bombs! Redd lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hall is looking to improve his position but Redd isn't that keen on the idea. Redd pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Redd lands a big shot there that rocks Hall but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hall slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Redd lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Redd works his way into side control. Redd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hall is looking for a sweep. Redd looks up at the clock and then as Hall takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Redd smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hall is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Redd advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to get back to half guard but can't. Redd can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hall is looking to escape. Hall sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Redd slips a nice elbow through Hall's hands, connecting with Hall's forehead. Redd sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hall actively working from the bottom here. Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Redd is trying to control. Hall wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Redd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Redd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Redd has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Redd trying to control the position but Hall is working away. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hall manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Redd gets full guard. Hall looking to sit in guard and control but Redd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Redd defends well. Hall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Redd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Redd trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Redd is working Hall over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Redd is aware though and is defending well. Hall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Redd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Redd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Redd has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Redd lands a couple of decent looking shots. Redd trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd passes Hall's left leg - he's now in half guard. Redd working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hall actively working from the bottom here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Redd connects with a nice short shot to Hall's temple. Redd is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Redd is looking to advance position but Hall won't allow it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Redd working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Hall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Redd's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Redd's back! Hall tries to get the hooks in deep but Redd pushed the leg off. Redd tries to escape the position.
Redd keeps trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall not allowing Redd to control his hands. Redd defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hall gets his way!

I really don't envy Redd right now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hall doesn't have the hooks in and Redd manages to turn into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Hall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Redd throws out the jab. Hall attempts a counter takedown but Redd avoids it well and moves away. Kodiyak Redd is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A slow jab from Redd misses its intended target. Hall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Robbie Hall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Redd. Redd fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hall avoids it really well and circles away. As Redd tries to get set, Hall tries to push him back and clinch up but Redd manages to avoid the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redd connects with an inside leg kick. Redd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Robbie Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kodiyak Redd. Hall staying out of range there. Hall wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Redd tries to land a leg kick but Hall saw it coming and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Redd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hall.

Kodiyak Redd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Redd lands a head shot. Redd throws a body shot but no joy. Hall half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Redd drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kodiyak Redd has got the better of the ground game so far. Redd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to buck Redd off but Redd is having none of it. Redd wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy. Redd connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hall some visible discomfort.
Hall is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Redd is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Redd is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Redd wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hall sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Redd wants to pass the guard but Hall is defending well. Redd winds up and cracks Hall with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hall is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Redd pulls his head out easily. Hall looking for submissions off his back. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hall has hold of Redd's hands but Redd slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hall tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Kodiyak Redd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Redd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
