Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Li Xiaodong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michal Sykora!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiaodong moves out of range of the strikes.
Xiaodong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sykora was well out of range. Poor timing from Xiaodong.
Xiaodong cracks Sykora with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Xiaodong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sykora bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Xiaodong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Xiaodong cracks Sykora with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Xiaodong has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sykora to stand back up!
Sykora is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xiaodong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sykora is still on wobbly legs! Can Xiaodong finish him?
Sykora leaves his chin hanging out and Xiaodong seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Sykora crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Li Xiaodong!
