Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Coleman (ranked 3893 p4p, 3385 weight class) and Ivan Draski (ranked 385 p4p, 339 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Draski!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draski throws out a powerful jab.
Donk. Coleman catches Draski right on the button with a cross.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Draski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coleman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Draski is fending him off so far but Coleman persists. Nope, Draski circles away and we're back to standing.
A bone on bone clash there as Coleman blocks the leg kick.
Coleman throwing a counter right hand but Draski manages to avoid it.
Draski blocks a jab.
Draski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Draski steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Coleman.
Coleman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Coleman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A big left from Coleman misses.
Draski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Coleman takes a jab right on the kisser.

Coleman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Draski tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Coleman presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Draski wants to control but Coleman is having none of it.

Coleman lands a big shot there that rocks Draski but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Coleman lands with some strikes.

Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Coleman connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Draski can't escape the position.
Coleman tries to control but Draski wriggling away.
Draski tries to hold on but Coleman postures up.
Draski is trying desperately to improve position.

Coleman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Draski looks a forlorn figure.

Coleman looking to control but Draski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Draski wants to hold on but Coleman pushes him away.
Draski is looking to get to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Draski is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Draski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Coleman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Draski can do to turn this around?
Draski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Coleman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Coleman distracts Draski with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Draski looking to control but Coleman passes into half guard.
Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Draski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Draski is trying to control but can't.
Draski is looking for a sweep. Coleman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Coleman is nestled in close to Draski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Coleman scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Draski is refusing to be controlled, as Coleman sits in half guard.
Draski tries to get to full guard but Coleman has control of the leg.
Coleman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Draski wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Draski controlling the position for now.
Coleman lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Coleman prevents Draski from improving his position.
Draski is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots.

Draski is rocked!
Chad Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Coleman is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Draski is hurt! He's hurt bad - Coleman fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Draski from any more punishment! Congratulations to Coleman! Great finish!
