Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Paruzzi (ranked 1132 p4p, 1645 weight class) and David Goldberg (ranked 130 p4p, 183 weight class). David Goldberg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manuel Paruzzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Goldberg! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldberg drives through with a takedown into guard. Paruzzi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Goldberg is aware though and is defending well. Goldberg is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Goldberg working some strikes from top position. Paruzzi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Goldberg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paruzzi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Goldberg has managed to get both his arms back between Paruzzi's legs - danger averted. Paruzzi keeping full guard, as Goldberg tries to pass. Paruzzi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Goldberg passes into side control.
Goldberg working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goldberg creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Goldberg trying to control the action but Paruzzi is working from the bottom. Paruzzi wants to control but Goldberg postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paruzzi is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Goldberg lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Paruzzi down.
Goldberg trying to control the position but Paruzzi is working away. Paruzzi tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Paruzzi tries to hold on but Goldberg postures up. Goldberg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Goldberg avoids the attempt from Paruzzi to control. Goldberg lands a couple of good shots and Paruzzi has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Goldberg scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Paruzzi is looking for a way out. Our spies down at at Trials Of Fortitude inform us that Goldberg has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paruzzi turns into Goldberg and is now in his guard.
Goldberg has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Paruzzi should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Goldberg has tightened it up now! Paruzzi should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). David Goldberg! David Goldberg spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
