Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miroslav Drozd (ranked 206 p4p, 589 weight class) and Chest Mangold (ranked 29 p4p, 76 weight class). Chest Mangold told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Miroslav Drozd!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chest Mangold!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drozd closes the distance and clinches.
I was talking to Drozd's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Still in the clinch, Drozd scores with a nice short uppercut.
Mangold fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Mangold tries a body shot but Drozd blocks it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mangold lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Drozd has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Drozd and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Mangold throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Drozd was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Drozd rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mangold moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And Mangold responds with a good body kick, but Drozd manages to step out the way in time.

Mangold bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Drozd lands a really nice looking cross but Mangold seems unphased.

Mangold keeps the fight on the outside.
Mangold connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Drozd tumbling to the canvas! Mangold pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Drozd was done - good stoppage!

Our winner, Chest Mangold, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
