Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toti Rotiz (ranked 805 p4p, 1747 weight class) and Xavier Dayton (ranked 128 p4p, 239 weight class). Rotiz comes to the cage accompanied by Southtown. Toti Rotiz has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Toti Rotiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Dayton!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dayton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rotiz.
Rotiz tries to counter by clinching up but Dayton breaks away and moves out of range.
Dayton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dayton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rotiz lands a nice shot to the body.
Dayton swings for the body but Rotiz moves out of range.
Rotiz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Xavier Dayton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rotiz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dayton.

As Dayton backs away, Rotiz returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

It looks like Xavier Dayton has been cut.

Rotiz shoots in looking for a takedown but Dayton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rotiz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dayton is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rotiz is controlling him well.

Dayton parries the strikes from Rotiz easily there. Rotiz is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dayton to escape.
Dayton felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Rotiz throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

We've been hearing that Rotiz has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Dayton wants to get back to his feet.
Rotiz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Rotiz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dayton is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rotiz asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Toti Rotiz will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dayton throws a looping overhand right but Rotiz ducks down to avoid it.
Rotiz throws a big counter combination but Dayton scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Toti Rotiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rotiz shoots in for a takedown but Dayton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dayton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Dayton shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rotiz eats them both and turns towards Dayton to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rotiz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rotiz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Toti Rotiz's cut is getting worse.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dayton lands a big head kick that sends Rotiz tumbling to the mat! Dayton takes a step backwards and waves Rotiz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rotiz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A big shot lands for Rotiz! That's hurt Dayton! Will he recover? Rotiz fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toti Rotiz!
A very excited looking Toti Rotiz rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
