Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pulizzi (ranked 939 p4p, 1144 weight class) and Park Yo Ka (ranked 148 p4p, 166 weight class). The key to victory for Joe Pulizzi has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Pulizzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Park Yo Ka!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yo Ka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pulizzi defends well and Yo Ka ends up having to push Pulizzi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Pulizzi misses with a hook. Yo Ka ducked under it nicely.

Yo Ka darts in and clinches Pulizzi up against the cage.
Yo Ka stalls.
Pulizzi works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Yo Ka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pulizzi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Yo Ka gets the takedown into side control.
Yo Ka prevents Pulizzi from escaping the position.
Yo Ka happy to just control the position for now.
Yo Ka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pulizzi is looking to get back to his feet here but Yo Ka is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pulizzi's back.
Pulizzi is trying to stand back up.
Pulizzi trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Well, with Yo Ka on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Pulizzi is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

A bit of a pause in the action here. Yo Ka controlling the positon.
Pulizzi is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Yo Ka tries to get the hooks in deep but Pulizzi pushed the leg off.
Pulizzi covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Pulizzi is trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pulizzi is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Yo Ka off. It looks like it's working - Yo Ka slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Pulizzi displaying calm under pressure there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yo Ka has a takedown stuffed.

Yo Ka drives through with a takedown into Pulizzi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Yo Ka slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pulizzi is not content to let Yo Ka control the position.

Pulizzi throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yo Ka with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pulizzi counters with a right hand to the body.
Joe Pulizzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Park Yo Ka.

Yo Ka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pulizzi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Yo Ka won't allow Pulizzi to get back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Pulizzi has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Yo Ka is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Pulizzi breaks the clinch.
Yo Ka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pulizzi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yo Ka somewhat.
Pulizzi is looking to counter punch.

Yo Ka clinches.

Yo Ka breaks the clinch.
Pulizzi catches Yo Ka with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Park Yo Ka has been cut.
Yo Ka shoots in but Pulizzi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pulizzi jabs at Yo Ka's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Pulizzi misses the target.
Pulizzi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yo Ka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yo Ka slips a jab from Pulizzi.
Yo Ka swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pulizzi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Yo Ka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pulizzi's waist but Pulizzi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yo Ka off to one side.
Pulizzi misses with a double jab.
Yo Ka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pulizzi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yo Ka is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Pulizzi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Park Yo Ka's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Pulizzi throws a lazy right hand but Yo Ka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Pulizzi as Yo Ka shoots in.
Pulizzi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pulizzi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yo Ka has time to react.
Pulizzi loads up on a big right hand but Yo Ka slips the punch.
Pulizzi sets himself, and Yo Ka steps forward looking for the clinch! Pulizzi avoids it this time.
A big left from Yo Ka misses.
Pulizzi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Park Yo Ka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yo Ka is defended easily by Pulizzi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulizzi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pulizzi duly obliges.
Yo Ka shoots in for a double leg but Pulizzi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pulizzi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Joe Pulizzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Park Yo Ka.

Yo Ka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pulizzi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yo Ka fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Pulizzi. That snapped Yo Ka's head back.
Yo Ka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pulizzi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Yo Ka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pulizzi defends it nicely.
Pulizzi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yo Ka.
Yo Ka slips under a jab.
Yo Ka has his takedown stuffed
and Pulizzi counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Yo Ka badly! He tries to strike back but Pulizzi puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Yo Ka out cold! Oh man, Yo Ka will never hear the end of this one!
