Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Davis (ranked 786 p4p, 894 weight class) and Charles Bukowski (ranked 86 p4p, 99 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Bukowski! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis lands a nice looking body shot.
Bukowski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Davis doesn't seem bothered though. Bukowski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bukowski thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.
Bukowski throwing shots but Davis is blocking nicely. Bukowski is taking a breather. Davis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bukowski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bukowski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bukowski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davis defending well though.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Davis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bukowski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bukowski misses with a body shot.
Davis swings for the body but Bukowski moves out of range.
Bukowski doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. The fight moves into the clinch position. Davis goes for a takedown attempt but Bukowski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bukowski looks for a takedown but Davis sprawls well. Davis seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bukowski lands the left hand. Bukowski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davis as he jumps to the side. Davis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bukowski.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bukowski moves into the clinch. Davis working aggressively here.
Bukowski has Davis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Danny Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bukowski. Davis gets through Bukowski's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Davis misses with a punch on the inside.
Bukowski tries to score a body lock takedown but Davis shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Bukowski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Davis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good control from Bukowski. Bukowski struggling to land strikes to the head as Davis covers up. Bukowski thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Bukowski is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis covering up well under a series of strikes from Bukowski. Bukowski biding his time, controlling Davis. Davis is really stuck here.
Davis is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bukowski misses with a punch to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis is trying to stand back up. Davis covering up well under a barage of strikes. Well, with Bukowski on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Davis is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Davis covering up well under a series of strikes from Bukowski. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bukowski is striking well from the back but Davis escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Bukowski dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Davis jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bukowski moves away from the strike by Davis. A jab from Davis misses. Bukowski shoots in but no luck this time. It looked like Davis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Davis throws a body punch but Bukowski moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Davis slaps away a takedown attempt from Bukowski, before circling back to the center of the mat. Davis throws a jab but it's blocked by Bukowski. Bukowski throws a right hand that Davis ducks under and follows up with a left that Davis also avoids with ease. Davis cracks Bukowski with a right hand to the side of the head. Davis is looking to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bukowski. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bukowski is working Davis over with some ground and pound from side control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bukowski working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Charles Bukowski has got the better of the ground game so far. Bukowski lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bukowski is working Davis over with some ground and pound from side control. Bukowski misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Bukowski working the ground and pound from side control. Davis is not content to let Bukowski control the position. Bukowski lands an elbow. Bukowski looking to control but instead Davis has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Bukowski working the head and body with strikes.

Bukowski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davis's head. Bukowski content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bukowski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bukowski controlling the action here. Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bukowski on the ground. Davis taking some punishment here, with Bukowski in his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bukowski is trying to control. Davis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bukowski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bukowski scores with a jab. Davis acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Bukowski tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bukowski scores with a jab to the body. Davis rushes Bukowski and presses him up against the cage. Davis scores with a shoulder strike. Davis lands a left hand.
Davis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Davis tries to throw a body punch but Bukowski avoids it by throwing Davis back against the cage. Bukowski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Bukowski does it's job there. Davis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Davis lands with a shot to the body. Bukowski scores with a crisp jab that stopped Davis in his tracks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bukowski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Danny Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bukowski. Bukowski darts in looking for a takedown but Davis gets double underhooks and turns Bukowski into the cage. An attempted straight right counter from Davis misses the target. Bukowski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bukowski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working. Bukowski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Davis tries to bench press Bukowski off him but Bukowski keeps the position. Bukowski in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Davis is not content to let Bukowski control the position. Bukowski just content to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Charles Bukowski will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Nice shot lands for Davis. Bukowski pushes Davis up against the cage in a clinch. Bukowski softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Davis lands a right hand. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bukowski. Bukowski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Davis thows a left - swing and a miss! Davis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Davis looks to throw the jab but Bukowski is out of range. Davis fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice straight punches there by Davis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Davis. Bukowski scores with a takedown into Davis's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bukowski stands up over Davis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bukowski throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bukowski is working Davis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bukowski postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bukowski postures up.
Bukowski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bukowski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Danny Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bukowski works the jab nicely. Davis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Bukowski jabs Davis to the body, keeping him at a distance. Davis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bukowski goes for a double leg but Davis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davis continues to drive forward. Bukowski lands a jab. Bukowski scores with a takedown into Davis's guard. Bukowski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bukowski preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to hit a sweep here but Bukowski passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Davis there! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bukowski cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bukowski misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bukowski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Bukowski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bukowski winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
