Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kane (ranked 3969 p4p, 2109 weight class) and Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kane might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Purge announcement. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomomi Tsuruta!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuruta is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Tsuruta wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tsuruta uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kane.
Tsuruta connects with a single shot there.
Tsuruta fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tsuruta moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tsuruta! But no joy.
Tsuruta lands with a shot to the body.
Kane waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tsuruta.
Kane takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kane tries a head kick but it misses.
Tsuruta works the jab nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tsuruta connects with a right hand. Kane shakes it off.

Kane misses with a looping right.
Kane falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tsuruta counters with an inside leg kick.
Kane lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kane throws a lazy uppercut
and Tsuruta counters with a three punch combo that has Kane backing up. Kane nods at Tsuruta to acknowledge the strikes.
Tsuruta lands a leg kick that knocks Kane off balance momentarily.
Kane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tsuruta avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tsuruta slips a straight right by Kane.
Tsuruta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kane's head.
Tsuruta has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tsuruta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kane.
Kane looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tsuruta misses with a hook. Kane ducked under it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kane throws a head kick that misses
and Tsuruta cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tsuruta connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kane walks into a jab.

Kane is rocked!
Kane moves into range and connects with a jab.
Oh Kane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A good leg kick by Tsuruta.
Kane seems to have got his legs back now.
Tsuruta lands a jab to Kane's midsection.

Tsuruta lands a big uppercut and Kane crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kane looks OK. Tsuruta waves Kane back to his feet!
Tsuruta is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kane had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Tsuruta scores with a shot to the body.
Kane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tsuruta connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kane scrambles back to his feet.
Tsuruta scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tsuruta is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kane takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kane misses with a left hand
and Tsuruta cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kane throws a lazy uppercut
and Tsuruta counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kane takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tsuruta cracks Kane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Tsuruta avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kane misses with a lunging right hand

Kane swings widly with a right hand
and Tsuruta counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kane falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tsuruta counters with a nice leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kane shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kane throws a right hand that misses
and Tsuruta counters with a nice body shot.
Tsuruta jabs Kane to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kane walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Tsuruta throws a shot to the body.
Kane takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kane is breathing heavily.
Kane on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tsuruta.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tsuruta scores with a jab to the body.
Kane throws a sloppy head kick
and Tsuruta counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tomomi Tsuruta dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tsuruta fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kane on the side of the head.
Kane throws a sloppy head kick and Tsuruta moves out of range easily.
Tsuruta cracks Kane with a right hand to the side of the head.
Tsuruta has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tsuruta scores with a jab to the jaw.
Tomomi Tsuruta seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kane throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It seemed like Tsuruta was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tsuruta cracks Kane with an open hand slap.
Tsuruta steps in with a hook that catches Kane right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Tsuruta follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Kane looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tomomi Tsuruta!
