The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomstaerk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mangold counters with a good low kick that Bomstaerk was not able to check.
Mangold staying out of range there.
Bomstaerk just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMangold.
Mangold closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A big left from Bomstaerk misses.
Bomstaerk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bomstaerk goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bomstaerk throws a lazy uppercut
and Mangold counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Bobby Bomstaerk has been cut.
Bomstaerk loads up on a big right hand but Mangold slips the punch.
Mangold is looking to counter punch.
Bomstaerk throws a head kick that misses.
We've been told by Mangold's head coaches at Primal Concrete Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bomstaerk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bomstaerk misses with a left hand
and Mangold counters with a straight right hand.
Bomstaerk misses with a shot to the body

and Mangold counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bomstaerk! Mangold lets Bomstaerk back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Mangold counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Bomstaerk out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Mangold is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
