Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ghost Chai (ranked 542 p4p, 573 weight class) and Billy Blank (ranked 66 p4p, 68 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Blank!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blank takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Blank shoots in looking for a takedown but Chai manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blank's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Blank comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Blank feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Chai sprawling to the canvas! Chai rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Blank finish him?!

The fighters circle momentarily. Chai darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Chai lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Blank backwards.

Blank is trying to push Chai away but Chai has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chai keeps control of Blank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Blank manages to break the clinch.

It looked like Chai was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blank has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Blank is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Blank breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ghost Chai dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
